The blueberry pancakes are out of this world, they just need to offer blueberry syrup.
We stopped here on our way out of town. The food was fine. Service was good. NO reason to give it anything but 5 stars
Been twice and the food was good. Service was nice both times as well. My only suggestion is to adjust the menu. It seems to not be a country restaurant or a lobster shack....just a little bit of everything. It is a little confusing because being a log cabin you expect country food.
Service was hit and miss. Went at 7:30 on a Friday night. We were seated quickly, my husband got his beer within two minutes but I had to wait 10 minutes for a glass of water. I ordered the lobster salad, it was nice but only about 2 oz or so of lobster, but wasn't covered in mayo like a lobster roll without a bun so that was really nice. Hubby ordered the log cabin burger medium well but what he received was medium rare. He didn't want to send it back so I can't speak to that aspect of customer service. Fairly expensive for what it was but good enough.
Ok so, when in Maine, right? Yes we had the Lobster special. Well, guess what? Absolutely perfectly cooked. Probably not a huge surprise since they probably cook a few hundred a month if not more, but still, perfectly cooked. Beyond that. Wow! Just wow! The service was incredible. Our waiter, Andy was great. Just a really nice guy and just made sure dinner was perfect. I was impressed beyond words. The family had a good day at Acadia National Park and dinner here was absolutely the cherry on the sundae.
Great food, great staff, and the tollhouse pie was simply from heaven. Great place to take the family to.
Great service. Delicious food. Fun gift shop!
Great atmosphere and friendly service. The food was delicious and served very quickly, which was a surprise. Came here twice for breakfast, would of come again if we had stayed longer. Highly recommend!
A little outside of town but busy location. The hot lobster roll is great.
For the $ I've had better. The bacon scallops were more bacon and I've had better chowder.
Very good, and real home made blueberry pie. The way I remember
Good food; large portions. Friendly staff. Dog friendly in certain parts
Was very good however be carefully with their canned Beer ( frozen ) an silverware socks
Easy in easy out. Wait staff was friendly. Haddack was very good. Ran out of chicken fingers, but who dines in Maine for chicken fingers right?
Sausage was hands down 5 stars. Service was quick and friendly. Food was good. My bluberry pancakes were loaded with berries quite tasty. Only downside was having to buy the syrup separately. Places advertising fresh local should include it. Portions were good and our coffee was never empty.
Waited about 30 mins to be served after being seated. The lobster is over priced. I went to another place the next day and would have payed the same. But at the other place they would have given me 2 big lobsters, 2 pounds of clams, and even corn on the cob.
What an awesome place to eat! Awesome food, awesome waitress, friendly staff. Will always eat there when I'm in the area.
Shrimp very tasty, homemade pie was excellent and coffee was great. Stopped for dinner around 7:30 mid-week in July, no wait. Friendly waitress, good prices AND a nice gift shop!
Food ok very pricey for what you get ordered Spainish omelet more like an egg wrap toast came on plate soaking up oil from omelet
Friendly, good food and service
Place is BAD !!! The food is not great. The lobster omelette has too much cheese making it soggy. The crab benedict was okay. Ladies restroom was dirty. The only good thing was rye toast. If you want good breakfast and lunch option definitely visit the restaurant opposite - Mainely Meat.
Delicious breakfast, great service, and clean. A great place to be!
Better make sure you call in a reservation if you want to get in and get seated quickly. We showed up at 7, had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Kinda sucked when they had all these empty tables and booths listed as reservation only and not a soul in that section. Cute place, Food was good, service was ok. Just seemed a bit rushed for the time.
We ordered a pizza to go on the way home from the park. Pizza was hot and good. Reasonably priced. Place was busy everytime we drove by. That's always a good sign.
Good food, fast service.
Enjoyed it so much, my wife and I ate there twice in one day! The pan-seared sea scallops did Maine proud. Our server, Rachel, was absolutely delightful. Highly recommended.
Good place for breakfast. i ordered omlet with lobster. it was expensive but i like the taste.
Don't waist your time. Overpriced and very bad service. Across the street is a pleasant surprise.
We were excited to have some lobster while in Bar Harbor. The lobster roll was very good. It had large chunks of meat and was not overdressed. The bun was buttery and well toasted. However, the service and decor were lackluster. They seemed understaffed creating a long wait, and our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed. All in all it was an OK experience.
Great service! Excellent pan seared scallops! Nice lobstah!
Food and service were great. I had the Haddock Rueben and felt it was quite worthy for $10.
We orderd pizza for pick up. They were very quick in preparing our food, but many toppings were not available anymore. The bacon was more leftover meat than bacon. Also the pizza was not done, the dough was still raw and undercooked. So all in all we were not really happy with our 17$ pizza.
Very good food. The prices are within a normal range.
We went there for breakfast and dinner. Both meals were delicious. The wait staff on both shifts were cheerful and open to joking around. We will be going back the next time we're up here
EXCELLENT breakfast! Kind of long wait to be served. Good coffee.
Delicious meals and very friendly staff. Service was good too. We ate there two nights in a row. The first night my husband had the lobster with clam chowder and dessert (blueberry pie) and I had the scampi and scallops. The second night we both had the lobster with mashed pumpkin and rice.. and blueberry pie. Andy served us the first night and Paula the second. Paula makes the desserts and her blueberry pie is the best we have tasted. Great cheery service from the ladies who greeted us at the door to the wait staff!
I usually don't give places a one star unless I strongly dislike the place. For me this place specially the food and customer service left a bitter taste in mouth literally and figuratively! The chicken quesadilla was mostly an overload of cheese with sprinkles of chicken. The fish taco was good, I enjoyed the first taco. Then in my second taco I ate this one piece of fish and it was cold and semi-raw! This fish smelt fishy - gross!!! And tasted even worse!!! I wasn't going to be one of those costumer who asked the meal to get comped but I was not happy to pay for a fried raw fish taco.( I like lobster rolls and shrimp cocktails) The food service was slow and the waiter was on the floor but mentally absent. The only good things- the decor in the building and the clam chowder soup.
We sat at the bar & had a beer & our lunch. Mike, our bartender/server was fantastic. Had a haddock Reuben & it was AMAZING. So big, I took it home for dinner. Great place, great atmosphere, great food, great service.
Another good breakfast joint on the outskirts of Bar Harbor, away from the crowds. It's a big place. The servers are nice and quick. The Monday we were there they were out of lobster and crab for omelettes. Not sure how you run out of those things in Bar Harbor but maybe it was a busy weekend. No matter, the blueberry pancakes were really good.
The Log Cabin Restaurant as far as price is pretty much in line with everywhere else the food is not any better or worse than their competitors the pizza we had was well-made but I think they rushed it. Because the center of the pizza was a little undercooked. If you want pizza at this restaurant it is only available at take out or on the patio outside you cannot sit down in the restaurant and eat a pizza.
Very good food, nice friendly atmosphere
This is the 3rd year of dining at this restaurant, the food has always been spectacular but the service lackingBut this time it was wonderful! The service was fast and the servers kind and attentive! What a turn around, truly a great stop for dinner
Excellent food and service! The fiid was tasty and reasonably priced. The server, Andy was more than accommodating to my son's food allergies. I will be going here again for sure!
It was ok. But my Mom's blueberry pie is phenomenal compared to their Maine blueberry pie. So it was disappointing.
Food was sub par, service was great. I ordered the special, a fried clam roll with onion rings. I also got a side of veggies. The roll itself was okay, didn't have much flavor. The onion rings were just greasy to the point of being soggy. The veggies were just a sad, pale, mushy mess. Peas and carrots that seemed like they were straight out of a can. I know fresh food can be difficult, but for the prices of the meals ($15+) I don't want canned veggies. The only saving grace was the super friendly and attentive wait staff.
This was a an expensive restaurant. The cheapest entree was a regular burger with lettuce and tomato, chips and a pickle for $9.95 (Log Cabin Burger). I chose the Mt. Cadillac Burger which was a basic bacon cheese burger with lettuce, tomato, bbq sauce, chips, and a pickle $11.95. My wife had a Ceasar Salad ($8.95) which was sparse on the dressing and cheese. As far as the burger, it was good, however at that price it should have included fries and a drink or side salad and possibly bottomless fries if no drink or salad was included. This was at lunch time that we were there. Oh yes! They even forgot to give me the pickle that was to be included.
Its a very nice place to git some breakfast at. It is a bit pricey. I wouldn't come here every day maybe more of a group luncheon or once in awhile. The actual log cable style is really cool. The waiters are very nice and was constantly filling up my coffee. They have a artworks wall and you are able to buy the art also.
Great food, amazing service, huge portions, reasonable prices!! Filled our 17 yr old bottomless pit
Very good breakfast fare, no frills. Omlettes were good, but the pancakes the kids got were huge and very tasty.
Great food and service.
